The Concours d’Elegance of Texas is a world-class vintage car event celebrating the lifestyle and heritage of car collectors and enthusiasts for the benefit of worthy charitable organizations. Dating back to the 17th century, when the French aristocracy showed off their horse drawn carriages in Parisian parks, a Concours d’Elegance is a prestigious automotive competition, which judges fine automobiles for appearance, originality and turnout, and celebrates the upscale lifestyle that accompanies the passion for collecting, showing or just enjoying great vintage motorcars and motorcycles. Class Award winners will be determined and from that group of fine Motorcars, both a Pre- and Post War “Best of Show” will be chosen.
As a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization, The Concours d’Elegance of Texas promotes awareness and provides financial support to our designated charities to assist them in meeting their mission objectives. We also promote and provide educational opportunities for students.
The Concours d’Elegance of Texas was founded in 2012 under the leadership and vision of our chairman Mike Ames. Building on our first six years of successful events, we have partnered with the city of Arlington and the Arlington Convention and Visitors Bureau to bring the Concours d’Elegance of Texas to the thriving DFW Metroplex.
